Happy New Year! Grateful to God I made it to another year, and that those of you reading it has made it along with me. 2018 was a year of firsts, growth, new experiences, and even exposure for what needs to change in 2019. So I look forward to what the Lord wants to do in me, and what He’s going to do with Thoughts Of Redemption. By the providence of God, I will be courageous.
As we push forward with this new year, I wanted to reflect back on 2018 by putting together the top five viewed blog posts from that year. Some posts I expected to be at the top, but others surprised me too, so here’s the list below!
#5: What is the Nature and Power of the Anointing?
When I started to write this piece, I was so excited, because it had been on my heart for some time. The truth about the anointing is different than what we’re used to.
#4: The False Narrative of Willie Lynch and the Value of Truth
This was another post that I longed to do before I ended up writing it. I’m real passionate about truth and integrity, so whenever I think about how many are ok with passing on this story even though it never happened, this has always bothered me. May this challenge us all to strive for the truth in every way.
#3: Thoughts He Changed: Identity & Self-Worth
It was a pleasure to feature my guest Adara Sherron on Thoughts He Changed! She’s an influencer, speaker, and author who has helped impact the lives of thousands through her social media and other forms of engagement. The way God connected us was providential, and Lord willing, we’ll be doing more in the future!
#2: A Virgin’s Perspective on God and Sexuality
This is still by far, in my top 3 favorite posts that I’ve ever written. My journey of abstinence is very important to me, and over the years I’ve learned the value of a balanced perspective on sexuality and purity that is often hard to come by. I wrote this two years ago, and it’s still one of the most viewed on this site.
#1: What is the Right Response to Hypocrites in the Church?
When I looked at the numbers and saw this was number one, I was shocked! Y’all really don’t like hypocrites haha! On a serious note, hypocrisy hits many of us on a deep level, because of how much consequences come as a result of being a hypocrite. Even when I shared a quote from this post on social media, it got alot of interaction!
This piece even led to an event themed after it, which was a collaboration between Thoughts Of Redemption and Angie Rose, called “Sips Coffee” back in 2017!
So there you have it, the top 5 most viewed blog posts from 2018! Thank you for reading, the support and love you give to me, and I ask for your prayers. God is taking me on a path that goes beyond what I can imagine, and I never want my inability to imagine to get in the way of what God is doing.
As I said in the beginning, this year is meant for me to be courageous, and by His grace I will do what He has purposed me to do.
